EMA at Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) Kick-Off Meeting 2024

The Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) played a key role in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) Kick-Off Meeting 2024, held from November 21st to 22nd at the EACEA Building in Brussels. Representing EMA, Mr. Rajon Bhuiyan, Director of Outreach and Capacity Building, engaged with coordinators from 34 newly selected EMJM programs, sharing insights on how EMA supports the Erasmus Mundus community. The event, organized by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), provided guidance on program implementation, scholarship management, and strategic collaboration. The meeting fostered discussions on strengthening ties between EMA and EMJM programs, with many coordinators showing interest in formal partnerships through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).

On November 21st and 22nd, 2024, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) hosted the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) Kick-Off Meeting 2024 in Brussels, bringing together coordinators from 34 newly funded EMJM programs. This annual gathering serves as a platform for guiding project coordinators through the key aspects of Erasmus Mundus implementation, including project and scholarship management, monitoring, reporting, and promotion strategies.
EMA was proudly represented by Mr. Rajon Bhuiyan, Director of Outreach and Capacity Building, who emphasized EMA’s global reach and the value it offers to EMJM programs. His presentation showcased how EMA facilitates engagement among students, alumni, and program coordinators, contributing to the overall success of Erasmus Mundus initiatives. The event also provided an opportunity for experienced EMJM coordinators to share best practices and discuss future directions for Erasmus+. Additionally, representatives from the European Commission’s DG EAC and EACEA were present to oversee discussions and offer strategic insights.

A highlight of the meeting was EMA’s outreach to newly funded and returning EMJM coordinators, reinforcing the association’s commitment to supporting student engagement, alumni networks, and program visibility. To further strengthen collaboration, EMA distributed EMA-branded merchandise, which was warmly received by participants. Many program coordinators expressed keen interest in formalizing partnerships with EMA through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), aiming to enhance cooperation and create more opportunities for Erasmus Mundus students and alumni.
As EMA continues to expand its impact, events like the EMJM Kick-Off Meeting serve as crucial milestones for fostering meaningful collaborations and strengthening the Erasmus Mundus network worldwide.
