As part of EMA Days 2024, the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association Arab Country Representatives for Jordan and Egypt organized the EMA Arab Talks on October 20th. Razan Rashid, Asmaa Dalash, and Fatma Hazem delivered two impactful sessions designed to guide and inspire prospective and current students within the Arab region. The event, conducted in a hybrid format, saw around 60 attendees, with some joining in person at the meeting place in Jordan while others participated online. Registration interest was high, with over 200 applications submitted.
The first was an Information Session focusing on essential insights into the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) application process. Participants received step-by-step guidance on navigating application requirements, selecting suitable programs, and crafting compelling personal statements. With experienced speakers sharing insider tips and success stories, the session aimed to demystify the application process, making it more accessible to students from the Arab region.
The second session offered an Arab Alumni Meet-Up, creating a unique space for current and former Erasmus Mundus students to connect, share experiences, and build networks. Alumni shared lessons learned, professional growth insights, and personal anecdotes from their time in Europe, offering invaluable perspectives to future applicants. The session strengthened community ties and provided an inspiring look at the opportunities that await successful applicants.
Both sessions were met with great enthusiasm from students across the Arab region, who left feeling motivated and better equipped to embark on their Erasmus journey. The EMA Arab Talks served as an inspiring highlight of EMA Days 2024, underscoring the importance of community and mentorship in the Erasmus Mundus experience.
