EMA Indonesia Inspires at European Higher Education Fair: Empowering Dreams of Studies in Europe

The Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association's (EMA) chapter in Indonesia proudly represented Erasmus Mundus at the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2024, empowering dreams of studying in Europe.

The prestigious European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2024 was organized by the European Union Delegation (EUD) to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam. This year’s fair, held in Yogyakarta on October 30 and in Jakarta on November 2–3, attracted an impressive total of 6,838 attendees—2,478 in Yogyakarta, 2,030 on Jakarta’s first day, and 2,330 on the second day. The fair underscored the growing interest in European education among Indonesian students.

Spotlight on Erasmus+ Scholarships

EMA Indonesia highlighted the Erasmus+ scholarship programmes, particularly the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s (EMJM) initiative at the EUD booth. The Erasmus Mundus programme offers fully funded opportunities for students to pursue a master’s degree across multiple European universities, gaining a global perspective and world-class education.

The EMA Indonesia team, comprised of passionate alumni volunteers, played a pivotal role in making the event interactive and informative. Visitors to the booth had the chance to hear first-hand accounts of studying and living in Europe. Alumni shared their journeys, breaking down the application process, offering practical tips, and showcasing the transformative impact of Erasmus+ programmes.

Motivation Letter Reviews: Personalized Guidance

One of the highlights of EMA Indonesia’s participation was the personalized feedback and review sessions for motivation letters. Aspiring students who brought their draft letters received direct support from alumni volunteers, helping them refine their applications to make a strong impression on selection committees. This initiative enhanced the participants’ chances of success and demonstrated EMA Indonesia’s commitment to fostering academic excellence.

Inspiring the Next Generation

By bridging the gap between prospective students and their aspirations, EMA Indonesia inspired countless individuals to explore the incredible opportunities offered by Erasmus+ programmes. The interactions at EHEF 2024 were a testament to the power of shared experiences in guiding and motivating others toward achieving their dreams.

Looking Ahead: A Commitment to Collaboration

EMA Indonesia remains steadfast in its mission to promote access to European higher education. Through its ongoing collaboration with the EUD, EMA Indonesia is dedicated to empowering Indonesian students to broaden their horizons and pursue life-changing opportunities in Europe.
