On 15 September 2024, the Western Balkans Alumni Association (WBAA) held its General Assembly in Podgorica, Montenegro, bringing together members from across the region and various international networks. Vice President Ruturaj Trivedi represented the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association (EMA). Adaleta Omerbasic, EMA Country Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, also attended the event as a WBAA member.
During the general assembly, Mr Trivedi participated in an insightful panel discussion on WBAA and alumni networks worldwide, alongside representatives from other key alumni networks such as garagErasmus, the African Students and Alumni Forum, and the OCEANS Network. The panel, moderated by Milan Stojanović, National Representative for Serbia, offered participants an opportunity to learn about sister networks and associations, discuss membership requirements, and exchange knowledge about each association's activities and opportunities for collaboration.
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between alumni associations and provided a platform for networking and brainstorming future projects. EMA Vice President, on behalf of our community, talked about a concrete EMA - WBAA partnership and promotion of Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus+ and EMA in the Western Balkans.
