Meanwhile, on January 12, 2025, EMA Bangladesh hosted its Introduction and Strategic Meeting, focusing on expanding partnerships, outreach, and Erasmus+ opportunities. With a shared vision for 2025, both initiatives highlight EMA’s commitment to supporting students and fostering global collaboration.
EMA Strengthens Ties with the EU Delegation in Chile
Juan Cárcamo Miranda, EMA Country Representative for Chile, actively participated in two key events hosted by the Delegation of the European Union in Chile. These engagements, including the launch of the Erasmus+ Chile Network and the Erasmus Days After Office, reinforced EMA’s commitment to fostering international education and student mobility opportunities for Chilean scholars.
In his most recent engagement, Juan participated in the Erasmus Days After Office, a major networking event organized by the EU Delegation in Chile at the International Relations Office of the University of Chile. This gathering brought together EU officials in Chile, alumni, and aspiring Erasmus+ applicants for an evening of discussions and knowledge exchange. Juan had the opportunity to address attendees, sharing insights about the Erasmus Mundus program and how EMA supports Chilean students throughout their academic journey in Europe.
EMA Bangladesh Introduction and Strategic Meeting 2025: A Collaborative Vision for the Future
On January 12, 2025, EMA Bangladesh successfully hosted its Introduction and Strategic Meeting, bringing together EMA leaders and the newly selected volunteer team for a productive discussion on the future of EMA’s initiatives in Bangladesh. The virtual event, led by Country Representatives Sadad Mahamud and Shouvik Roy, featured strategic insights from EMA’s Management Board and key members, fostering collaboration and alignment of goals for 2025.

Distinguished attendees included Dr. Md. Ashiqur Rahman (EMA President); alongside Mr. Rajon Bhuiyan (Outreach and Capacity Building Director); Shahin S. Eity (Policy and Quality Assurance Unit Director); Md Mahamudul Hasan Mredul (Newsletter Editor); Faqrul Islam Chowdhury (Capacity Building Coordinator OCB); Tahmida Shamsuddin, (Social Media Coordinator); Sayed Muhammad Baker (Project Leader – EMA for Equity), Samsoon Nahar Shampa, (Membership Executive PQA) and other dedicated EMA volunteers. Their participation underscored EMA’s commitment to enhancing student engagement, strengthening networks, and expanding outreach across Bangladesh. A key highlight of the meeting was the discussion on expanding EMA’s presence in Bangladesh, focusing on university partnerships, outreach initiatives, and workshops to promote Erasmus+ opportunities. Shahin S. Eity stressed the importance of maximizing the benefits of the EMA Member Portal, while senior members shared their experiences and guidance on overcoming challenges in community engagement.
The meeting concluded on an energizing and forward-looking note, leaving the new EMA Bangladesh team inspired and prepared to make a meaningful impact. With a shared vision and strategic direction, EMA Bangladesh is set to empower students, strengthen international collaboration, and promote the values of Erasmus+ throughout 2025.
