Kick-off Meeting for 30 New Country Representatives
Following a successful Spring recruitment campaign, the Country Representatives Network (CRNet) of the Outreach and Capacity Building (OCB) Unit held a kick-off meeting to welcome 30 new Country Representatives (CRs) from 27 countries.
The onboarding session took place on Saturday, 29 June. It aimed to familiarise the new CRs with their roles, duties, and objectives, and provide them with the opportunity to meet key EMA team members and ask questions to Ana Janjusevic, CR Network Coordinator, Rajon Bhuiyan, EMA Outreach and Capacity Building Director, Virza Maradhika, CR Network Development Executive, and Reagan Chidhakwa, CR Network Analyst.
It was a comprehensive session designed to equip the new CRs with the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed in their positions and to facilitate networking among them. This kick-off meeting marks the beginning of an exciting journey for the new CRs as they embark on their roles to contribute to EMA's mission and support their respective communities.
CRNet July Monthly Huddle: Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar
The onboarding process was completed with a Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) seminar organised on July 7, as part of our July Monthly Huddle. Pre-Departure Orientation sessions typically occur between the end of June and August, making the onboarding of 30 new members the perfect occasion for senior CRs to share their knowledge and experience regarding the organisation of PDOs.
The session was moderated by Gisele Branda, Country Representative for Brazil, and Virza Maradhika, Country Representative Network Development Executive. They addressed both in-person and virtual PDOs while responding to all questions from the new CRs. This comprehensive approach ensured that new CRs were well-prepared and confident in their roles.
