Project Summary:
‘"Sustainability Meets Impact’ is an initiative by the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA), demonstrating how small yet meaningful steps can contribute to a more sustainable future.
How can small actions lead to a better world? In this powerful video, Erasmus Mundus students and alumni share their real-life sustainability practices, practical tips, and inspiring stories on how we can make a difference—starting today.
From repairing and upcycling to tree-planting initiatives and green urban spaces, this video showcases the power of collective impact. Change begins with US.
Watch the video and get inspired to take action today!
This video was created as part of a follow-up activity from the “Cinema Paradiso” training course, organized by Asociación Cultural L’Ayalguina, and co-funded by the European Union and the Erasmus+ Programme.
‘Cinema Paradiso’ is an Erasmus+ youth workers training course, focussed on videomaking for social impact. Through this project, participants transformed their learning into action - using storytelling as a force for change.

Project Logo Concept
The Sustainability Meets Impact logo represents our vision for a better future through two key elements:
-
A path through sustainability - symbolising our journey toward environmental responsibility.
-
A ripple of impact - reflecting how even the smallest actions can make a big impact and can inspire and guide others.
This design serves as a reminder that every effort counts, and together, we can create lasting change.
Tree Planting in Belgium
On 24 November 2024, three EMA members participated in the "Forest in a Day" initiative, where 3,000 trees were planted in Ans, Wallonia, as part of a project by Luminus and the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium. This afforestation effort supports climate action, biodiversity conservation, and outdoor sports development.
Additionally, on Saturday, 7 December 2024, we took another step towards sustainability by joining hands for a tree plantation drive in Vilvoorde, Belgium. A huge thanks to our EMA Volunteers for making this possible!
Special thanks to the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium for organising these impactful events in Belgium. The Vilvoorde event was financed by the City of Vilvoorde, the Agency for Nature and Forest, and the Government of Flanders, and organised in cooperation with the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium and Bosgroepen.
Together, we’re making a difference.
Join Mindful Mundus and be a part of this transformative journey!
